Tennessee move-out cleaning service

A Tennessee move-out cleaning service is the vacant-unit job you book when the furniture is gone and someone with a key is about to judge the oven.

  • The published crew band is $220–$650, by size and add-ons.
  • Deposit fines and permit strikes are not that band.
  • Occupied maid service stops before the callback sends.

Two yes or no questions, then your phone and email.

Is this property in Tennessee?

Choose No for Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, or any other state.

Is this a move-out clean of a vacant home, apartment, condo, or short-term rental?

Choose No for routine maid service while someone still lives there, or for a hotel, plant, or commercial site. A house is fine.

Special requirements

A residential cleaning company, a move-out crew, or a property turnaround firm receives this callback.

You are hiring it because the furniture is gone and someone with a key is about to judge the oven, the baths, and the floors. The county pages under Counties are where the inspection rule changes. This page is the job itself.

The people who need it are tenants chasing a full deposit conversation, sellers finishing a broom-clean clause in a purchase contract, and property managers prepping a rental turnover. Hosts, students, and service members use the same job when their own page says the clock is tighter.

  • The published band is $220–$650, driven by square footage and deep-cleaning add-ons.
  • Routine bi-weekly maid service, or a light clean while someone still lives there, is the wrong job.
  • The crew brings the kit. You bring the empty rooms, the access, and the appointment you are racing.

This is the wrong job if the home is still lived in

Routine bi-weekly maid service, or occupied light house cleaning, is outside this service. If people still sleep in the beds and the job is a refresh between Tuesdays, do not send the form. The questions will stop you, and that stop is the point.

A hotel, a plant, and a commercial site are outside it too. A house is inside it. So is an apartment, a condo, and a short-term rental, as long as the clean happens when the unit is vacant and the property is in Tennessee.

Who this is for

Tenants book this when the walk-through is the moment a greasy oven becomes a line on a deposit list. Sellers book it when the contract expects a broom-clean house and the buyer’s walk is not the time to discover the fridge. Managers book it between leases so the next keys are not handed over a dirty range.

You are the buyer of the clean. The landlord, inspector, RA, or housing office is the person who signs their own form. Those are different roles. Paying a crew does not purchase their signature. It purchases a unit that gives them less to mark.

What the crew actually does

Inside a normal move-out: appliances you named, bath fixtures, floors, baseboards, and the interior surfaces you can see once the room is bare. Interior glass and blinds show up in leases more often than they show up in statutes. If your lease names them, say so. If it does not, do not assume they were priced.

Outside a normal move-out: painting, drywall, carpet replacement, mold remediation, and furniture haul-away you did not agree to. Knox County’s health code and a campus fine are not a license to call a mop crew a remediator. Fort Campbell’s clearing list is not a promise that the inspector will sign. Downtown linen and restock belong on the short-term rental page, not on every lease turnover.

The only published cost band

The only published dollars for the crew are in this table. Anything that looks like a fine, a deduction, or a permit strike lives on the county page that names it, and only when that page’s source actually published the number.

How far ahead to book

Schedule from the empty date backward. A Davidson inspection is inside four days of vacating. A Hamilton walk-through sits in a 48-hour gap. A downtown guest turn may be four hours. A Fort Campbell clearing sits 24 to 48 hours before departure. UT Knoxville wants the work done before the checkout appointment. Shelby’s 30 days are for the landlord’s accounting letter, not for starting the mop.

If you wait until the morning of the inspection, you are betting the crew is idle and the oven is kind. Send the callback when the date exists. Square footage, stairs, parking, and whether the fridge is still full will change the answer you get.

Who brings the chemicals

Crews supply their own chemicals and equipment. That is the answer to the question people ask when they are already on the road with a car full of boxes. You do not need to leave a closet of products, and you should not leave a closet of products you want back. Pull anything personal. Leave the water on and the lights working if you can. A crew in a dark unit with a shutoff valve is not faster. They are stuck.

Tell them about pets that are still on site, alarms, and elevators that need a fob. The two questions on the form decide whether the job belongs here. The notes under “I already have this” decide whether the truck is loaded for an oven, a fridge, and carpet steam.

Questions people ask before they book

  1. Q1. What is included in a professional move-out deep clean?

An empty-unit pass: kitchen surfaces, baths, floors, and the dust line where furniture stood. Oven, fridge, and carpet steam are the add-ons inside the published band. Haul-away of abandoned furniture is not included unless the crew agrees on the callback. County pages do not share one inclusion list, because the inspection behind the clean is different.

  2. Q2. How far in advance should I schedule a move-out cleaning service?

As soon as you know the empty date. The county pages run from a four-hour guest turn to a four-day inspection to a 30-day deposit letter. The clean has to finish before the walk-through. The letter can come later. If you only know the month, say so, and expect the crew to ask for a day.

  3. Q3. Can move-out cleaning guarantee the return of my security deposit?

No. Soap does not repair damage, and a landlord who keeps money still has to follow the rule on that county’s page. The clean is how you shrink the cleanliness lines. The deposit decision stays with the lease and the inspection. A receipt helps some managers. It is not a refund coupon.

  4. Q4. Do cleaning crews supply their own chemicals and equipment?

A crew that takes this job brings chemicals, pads, and vacuums, and the extractor when carpet steam is on the work order. You should not have to stock a closet the night you leave. Confirm oven, fridge, and steam when you send the form so the truck shows up with the right kit.
